Exciting news, the new Ardnamurchan is about to arrive, and this time there’s two of them!
AD/04.21:03 and AD/04:21 Paul Launois are the latest releases from Adelphi Distillers’ Ardnamurchan distillery in the western Highlands.
Ardnamurchan AD/04.21:03 follows the formula of the smash hit previous general releases, with a 50/50 mix of the distillery’s peated and unpeated spirits matured in a mix of 65% ex-bourbon and 35% ex-sherry casks and bottled at 46.8%.
Ardnamurchan AD/04:21 Paul Launois, meanwhile, is rather different - it’s the distillery’s first truly limited-release batch of single malt, and it’s a wine finish! Paul Launois is an innovative Champagne producer in Le Mesnil, a name that will be familiar to Krug fans as a byword for top quality Blancs de Blancs champagne. *SOLD OUT*
The assemblage for this limited release Ardnamurchan comprised nine ex-bourbon casks reracked into wine barriques from Paul Launois, plus one American oak ex-sherry cask. All the casks used were of Ardnamurchan’s unpeated whisky and Ardnamurchan AD/04:21 Paul Launois has been bottled without colouring or chill filtration at its natural strength of 57.6%.
As allocations are very limited AD/04.21:03 and AD/04:21 Paul Launois will be available to customers in Tiers 7 and above for the first 24 hours on Wednesday 12th May at 10:00. Remaining stock will then be made available to the following Tiers until our stock has sold.
